A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
University Services, a unit of the University responsible for operations and support functions such as capital planning, capital project delivery, maintenance, custodial, dining, parking, transportation, bookstores, and many other functions, includes sustainability topics in their new employee orientation. This sustainability content focuses on actions that employees can take to be sustainable while performing their roles, information about the University's waste management practices, and University Services' commitment to sustainability.

During the period of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 there were 2269 new hires across the University system. 356 of those hires were offered the University Services new employee orientation which includes material on sustainability topics.
