The University's Sustainable Communities Class (SUST 4004) focused on the University campus to identify strategies and approaches to reducing air pollution and mitigating climate change.

The University's Sustainable Communities Class (SUST 4004) focused on the University campus to identify strategies and approaches to make the built environment more sustainable. The Sustainable Systems Management Major capstone class is currently using University infrastructure and data to determine the relative economic, social, and environmental impact of different approaches (i.e. demolition, deconstruction, and restoration) to end-of-life for buildings.

The University's Institute on the Environment researchers and students are working on projects related to co-siting pollinator habitate at a University on-campus solar facility and in communicating about renewable energy to the University community.

The University's Sustainable Communities Class (SUST 4004) focused on the University campus to identify strategieis and approaches to land use, particulary food production. In addition, the University's Living Lab program (https://z.umn.edu/livinglab) provides allocations of campus grounds and in-kind support to facilitate student applied research and demonstration projects.
