Certificate in Ecological Restoration
120-hour certificate program (4 out of 5 courses, Site Assessment is a required course, along with 3 of the 4 elective courses, and at least one field session).
The Ecological Restoration certificate is designed to provide early career professionals with the skills necessary to undertake the most common kinds of Midwestern restorations including re-vegetation of prairies, wetlands, lakeshores, forests, and savannas.
These courses were developed in partnership with staff from several Minnesota state agencies who identified a critical need to train more restoration professionals to meet the growing demand for these skills. These courses provide practical skills and knowledge to succeed at restoration.
