Optional Fields

A brief description of the institution's water-related behavior change initiatives:
---

A brief description of the institution's water recovery and reuse initiatives:
---

A brief description of the institution's initiatives to replace plumbing fixtures, fittings, appliances, equipment, and systems with water-efficient alternatives:

Water-saving fixtures are used in all replacement projects on campus and in Housing, and low-flow fixtures are standard in new buildings, which follow State of MN B3 Guidelines. Fixture replacements in Housing (especially toilets and sinks) have been a large contributor to water savings at UMD. Automatic sinks and toilet flush technology also reduces water consumption. UMD utilizes State of Minnesota B3 Guidelines for new construction and remodeling projects, which provides guidelines on water-conserving fixtures and equipment.
