Documentation supporting the institution’s reported pay scale ratio:

Lowest paid FT employee hourly rate is $23.75/hr, highest admin employee is $156.35/hr, with a ratio of 1:6.58, both including fringe. Values were found using a query built together with FinOps. The top and bottom compensation rates were found by selecting several each of the top and bottom earners at UMD. For each employee selected, the stated hourly rate was checked against the data in the Pay Period Salary and Fringe Detail by Finance Distribution report in PS Reporting Center. The actual hourly rate including fringe was confirmed and/or calculated for each person included, and then the
top and bottom rates were selected. The bottom rates were only considered for full time employees, and the top rates were only considered for administrative positions.

These are the values for FY2022 taken from a report created by FinOps.
