The goals of the UMD Wellness Program are to:
-promote and preserve the health and well-being of UMD faculty and staff
-to encourage our campus community in maintaining a healthy living environment and active lives
Health Coaching: A Health Coach can help motivate and encourage eligible UPlan members to better health. Your Health Coach provides unbiased up-to-date health information to assist you with the development of a personalized wellness plan to effectively change behavior.
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides confidential professional consultation and referral services to address any personal or work concern that may be affecting your wellbeing. EAP services at UMD are provided by The Sand Creek Group, Ltd.
Services for Students:
UMD Health Services is a comprehensive Health and Wellness facility designed to meet the health care needs of today's college students.
Physicians, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses are available for medical appointments.
UMD Health Services also provides free and confidential counseling, drop-in counseling ("Let's Talk") and grief support groups.
The mission of our clinic and professional staff is to help students develop healthy personal lifestyles and to provide the services necessary to support academic success.
