Crookston has actively invested in vehicles that are able to utilize biofuel. 17 of these vehicles can fuel with E85, but most fuel on campus, which does not provide an alternative fuel option and so have been counted as gasoline only. Looking ahead, Crookston will to advance with plug-in hybrid or hybrid technologies. UMC has installed one electric vehicle charger on-site next to the facilities management building that houses fleet operations.
