The University of Michigan is diligent in its efforts to record employee injury and illness information in accordance with recordkeeping practices as proscribed by the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA). MIOSHA Recordable Criteria: Recordability of cases under the Occupational Safety and Health Act occurs if a case results from a work incident (injury or illness) and involves medical treatment, restriction of work, transfer to another job, or loss of consciousness.
The Work Connections program has the responsibility for coding, managing and reporting qualifying incidents
