Since 2009 The University of Michigan has used a comprehensive cleaning system called (OS1) in U-M campus buildings. The (OS1) program includes a green cleaning policy, a high performance cleaning system, a custodial effectiveness assessment, the use of sustainable cleaning products and materials, the use of sustainable cleaning
equipment, indoor chemical and pollutant source control and indoor integrated pest management.
