Plant Operations guideline requires all drivers of Plant Operations vehicles to turn off the ignition of their running vehicle if 1) they are going to be away from the vehicle for more than five minutes or 2) they do not know when they will return to the vehicle. http://www.plantops.umich.edu/director/PDF/pg/pg_veh_Use_of_University_Vehicles.pdf
