A brief description of the institution’s green event certification program:
GreenU's Green Event certification is designed to help event planners address sustainability in five core focus areas: education, energy efficiency, food, transportation, and waste. Communications and paper consumption are both addressed within the waste category.
To certify an event, the event planner must download the Green Event checklist, complete the prerequisites and 75% of the remaining applicable credits, and send it back to GreenU for review.
