Miami Herbert Business School LEED EBOM Gold

A brief description of the institution’s featured program, initiative, or accomplishment:

in 2019, The Miami Herbert Business School, located on the University of Miami Coral Cables campus, has achieved LEED Gold Certification for Existing Building Operations & Maintenance (EBOM) as designated by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) for its environmental performance and sustainable operations. The project is the first LEED v4.1 OM higher-education building in the State of Florida. The building is located at 5250 University Drive, Coral Gables, Florida.

Those two graduate programs were launched in the last three years and had a very good reception among our students.

- Master of Professional Science in Urban Sustainability and Resilience:
The Master of Professional Science in Urban Sustainability and Resilience is designed for students interested in acquiring the knowledge, skills and hands-on practical engagement necessary for contributing to the urban challenges confronting cities on the front lines of climate change. Focusing on challenges such as health, housing, crime, the environment, and sea-level rise, students will gain an understanding of the spatial and temporal transitions involved in pathways toward urban sustainability.
