A brief description of the institution’s community garden:
UMass Lowell partnered with local non-profit Mill City Grows to start a community garden on university-owned land on Dane St. in 2018. The Dane St garden is a stone’s throw from University Crossing and is their second community garden in the Acre, one of Lowell's most significant Environmental Justice neighborhoods. The garden houses 16 community garden plots for Lowell residents and UMass Lowell students, faculty, and staff.
