The Office of Sustainability maintains a continually evolving website that serves as a resource that centralizes all information for sustainability on campus. The website is regularly updated by staff and students in the Office of Sustainability.

The Office of Sustainability maintains Twitter and Instagram accounts. Twitter is the primary social media account of the Office of Sustainability. Instagram is regularly updated by a student within the Office of Sustainability. We also have a Facebook page but it is no longer updated.

When there is a sustainability issue of interest to students, we work with UMass Lowell's student newspaper "The Connector" to ensure it is adequately covered. Principal coverage comes from the main UMass Lowell University Relations department, which has assigned a staff writer to sustainability topics.

Green Building Signage

All LEED Certified buildings have the relevant plaque prominently displayed in high traffic areas. The Office of Sustainability, working with Facilities management and art students have developed signage that highlights specific sustainability features in buildings. University Crossing for example, includes signage related to daylight harvesting technology, green roofs, and FSC certified wood.

Yes

All of our Green Restaurant locations have prominent signage on their entrances. Campus dining commons has banners and table top signage that highlight local and sustainable products. Furthermore, our Urban Agriculture Site features a prominent sign onsite.

Sustainable Grounds Signage

Yes

A brief description of the signage on the grounds about sustainable groundskeeping and/or landscaping strategies employed:
The university has installed signage to identify pollinator habitats on campus. In addition, specimen trees on campus are identified with plaques and informational signage. The Lowell Riverwalk has regular interpretive signage that highlights Lowell's unique natural and industrial heritage which is centered around the Merrimack River. At numerous locations throughout the campus we employ signage to identify sustainable landscaping strategies. Examples includes bioswales at LEED buildings and signage at our urban agriculture site that points to organic and sustainable growing techniques and landscape management.
