UMass Lowell is offering a faculty-led course on Managing Sustainability in a Global Environment bringing students to Israel to take a deeper dive exploring all of sustainability's social, economic, and environmental facets. Furthermore, the courses in here include the Diversity & Cultural Awareness and Social Responsibility & Ethics Essential Learning Outcomes.
This course will allow students to explore: "the culture, history, and archaeology of the ancient land of Israel, focusing upon water, air, energy and social sustainability. Through a series of cases, videos, site visits & lectures, we will consider the sustainability initiatives, both local and global, highlighting innovative approaches to find “sustainable solutions to the major challenges in today’s world”."
