A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:

In FY'17 we ran a pilot program for one year with VeoRide to determine if there was a demand for bike sharing programs at UMass Dartmouth.

17,000 rides were recorded by 1,700 different participants.

At the end of the program, the vendor wanted to force electric scooters onto the campus as a condition of keeping the bikes, which was not acceptable to the campus, so we parted ways.

Yes, 2 EV parking spaces are located at the Library in the core parking location on campus.

Yes

A brief description of the electric vehicle recharging stations:

The main campus has 2 EV 48 AMP, 120V, 11.5KV charging stations in Lot 13, located by the access road of the Library and the Charlton College of Business.

SMAST East has 3 Clipper Creek brand EV charging pedestals and 4 charging stations. The Clipper Creek EV charging stations provide 48 amp, 240 volt 11.5 kW.

Municipal transit via the SRTA shuttle is free to use for Students and Employees. This is funded by the University. The SRTA connects UMass Dartmouth to the surrounding cities and communities, where a large percentage of our students live.

Additionally, we offer a retail loop and New Bedford Loop to bring students to high interest locations.
