UMass Boston is currently involved with the UMass System Sustainability Council, consisting of all UMass System campuses (UMass Medical, Lowell, Dartmouth, Boston, and Amherst), The Northeast Campus Sustainability Consortium (NECSC). As an MA public school we participate in the DOER Leading by Example program (MA state government agencies). We are members of the Boston Green Ribbon Commission. We are signatories to the President's Climate Commitment, organized by Second Nature.

The University of Massachusetts Sustainability Council is made up of sustainability staff from each of the UMass campuses. The UMass President's Office oversees this group that offers resources and expertise to one another. This supports sustainability reporting and the overall development of each campus' sustainability program.
