A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts provides a workers’ compensation program for state employees that are injured in the course of their employment. The program is administrated by the Human Resources (HRD)- Workers Compensation (WC) Unit in accordance with Massachusetts General Law Chapter 152. The University enters notices on the HRD/WC eServices system. HRD/WC then classifies injuries as recordable, or not.
