A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
Sustainable UMass (Physical Plant Sustainability, Auxiliary Services/Permaculture Initiative, School of Earth and Sustainability) is present at all Undergraduate NSO days in the summer session. It holds information sessions for the new students to talk to them about sustainability and how they can get involved here on campus during the summer two days a week for 30 minutes each. The School of Earth & Sustainability promotes its offerings to all incoming graduate students through the Graduate School.
