Part 2. Sustainability-focused certificate program

A brief description of the certificate program(s):
University of Maryland Extension offers four certificate programs: UME Master Gardener Program (created in 1978); Maryland/Delaware Master Logger (created in 1993); Master Naturalist Program (first piloted in 2010); and the Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (first piloted in 2016).
The Office of Extended Studies has worked with units across campus to develop certificate programs, including the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the A. James Clark School of Engineering, and the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences. Learn more about continuing education opportunities offered by OES at: https://oes.umd.edu.
