A brief description of the institution’s LGBTQ-inclusive policies, programs and practices:
The campus LGBT Equity Center complies a list of resources and opportunities for LGBTQA students, faculty, and staff. In 2016, The Human Rights campaign recognized the UMD Health Center as a leader in LGBT Healthcare equality. The Department of Resident Life is committed to providing a safe environment for residents and offers a Gender Inclusive housing option. Students who select this option undergo online training and can live with roommates of all genders, sex, and gender-identity. More information about resources can be found at the provided link:
