University of Maryland Extension offers four certificate programs: UME Master Gardner Program (created in 1978); Master Naturalist Program (first piloted in 2010); Maryland/Delaware Master Logger (created in 1993); and the Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (first piloted in 2016).
