UMBC Climate Action Steering Committee
Consisting of faculty, staff, and students, the Climate Action Steering Committee is charged with advising the President on strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated by the campus community, to engage the campus community in efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and to promote and support instruction and research on the impact of greenhouse gas emissions.

The UMBC Sustainability Office supports and advances environmental performance, economic prosperity, and social equality through a variety of initiatives. The staff (Asst. Director and Coordinator) facilitates the development and implementation of sustainable policies, practices and curricula for the campus community, and measures and reports performance.
