The institution has one Sustainability Coordinator, who is responsible for leading and managing sustainability initiatives. This role includes developing and implementing sustainability programs, engaging students, staff, and faculty in sustainability efforts, overseeing sustainability reporting and compliance, and coordinating events and outreach efforts to promote environmental responsibility across the institution.

Additionally, they have expanded recycling programs, secured funding for projects, and promoted, driving institutional sustainability forward.

Position Summary:
The Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing the institution’s sustainability initiatives, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility, and coordinating sustainability efforts across campus. This role involves program development, stakeholder engagement, sustainability reporting, and policy implementation to advance the institution’s commitment to sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and oversee sustainability programs, initiatives, and policies.
Collaborate with students, faculty, and staff to integrate sustainability into academics, operations, and campus life.
Lead sustainability reporting efforts, ensuring compliance with institutional and external sustainability frameworks.
Organize educational events, workshops, and campaigns to promote sustainability awareness and engagement.
Manage resource conservation efforts, including waste reduction, recycling, energy efficiency, and sustainable procurement.
Establish and maintain partnerships with external organizations and stakeholders to enhance sustainability initiatives.
Seek funding opportunities and grants to support sustainability projects.
Track and assess sustainability performance, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
