Yes
Percentage of employees assessed, directly or by representative sample:
32
A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
UM is transitioning to the use of pulse surveys to improve response rates. These are smaller contained surveys that explore different areas of the employee experience at the university and take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete. The first pulse survey was conducted to evaluate employee satisfaction of the benefit plans at the University.
A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:
The pulse surveys are designed for employees to provide feedback regarding specific topics. The information resulting from the pulse surveys is used to reshape supports that are in place for employees. For example, the most recent pulse survey covered employee health benefits. Since collecting the results of the survey, updates to the benefits plans have been put in place. Top requests included increases to the health spending account, prescription drug coverage, dental plan and orthodontic coverage.
