A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:

The UM Office Bike Fleet program has various locations across campus where faculty and staff can loan and return bikes. Bikes can be booked in advance and are provided for staff to commute between and across campus locations. Bikes also come with safety equipment such as a helmet, lights, bell, pump, and bike map.

Level 1 and 2 electric vehicle chargers are placed in preferential parking locations around campus. Carpool parking passes are available for purchase and are offered in preferential parking locations around campus.

Yes

UM offers twelve Level 2 charging stations to staff, students and visitors, and two (2) Level 2 chargers for UM fleet vehicles.

Yes

The U-Pass is a Universal Transit Pass which provides unlimited access to Winnipeg Transit services for full-time students in exchange for a discounted mandatory fee. The U-pass has increased public transit access and usage for students accessing UM campuses. Only students who reside outside of Winnipeg can opt-out of the U-pass program.

UM also has a membership to GoManitoba, a platform that connects users and eases travel by helping to facilitate carpools, promote public transit use where available, and match bike and walk mentors with each other. GoManitoba saves time, money and reduces traffic congestion.

More than 100 level 1 EV charging stations are available for use by the campus community. Level 2 and 3 stations are planned in the development of new buildings.
