All UM Janitorial Cleaning Supplies including all-purpose/hard surface industrial cleaners, toilet bowl cleaners, floor cleaner, degreasers, dishwasher detergents, floor strippers, disinfectants, glass cleaners, carpet and upholstery cleaners, spot and stain removers, odour control, drain, and grease trap additives must be EcoLogo or Green Seal certified. Floor cleaners and floor strippers must be compatible with the floor manufacturer’s specifications. Adhesives, shellacs, finishes, varnishes, and paints/coatings must meet the California Code of Regulations' maximum allowable Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) for Specific Product Category. This policy statement accounts for the high score in this category.
