This credit is based on energy inputs from offsite sources and electricity produced by onsite renewables. The Green Office program and Residence Advisor handbooks help guide sustainable lifestyle practices including turning off the lights when not in a room or turning off computers overnight. These outreach efforts are organized by the Office of Sustainability.

Variable air volume systems work in tandem with CO2 sensors to control fresh air intake.

EXIT signs have been switched to energy conserving LED lights. Over 85,000 light fixtures around the campuses have also been updated.
