Food, Fuel and Fibre for a Sustainable Future - Canadian Society of Biosystems Engineers, 2017: the University of Manitoba hosted the annual CSBE conference with professors and local professionals (e.g. from IISD) speaking on topics of biosystems and sustainability. The conference was open to both students and professionals.

The University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg have a Joint Discipline Committee that oversees collaborative programs between the two institutions. The Joint M.A. Program in Peace and Conflict Studies was developed to cover sustainable development topics collaboratively between both institutions.
