The Clayton H. Riddell Faculty of Environment, Earth and Resource Sustainability Learning Outcomes: This research faculty's sustainability learning outcomes are focused in the areas of earth, environment, sustainable development, resources and human activities. The institution contributes to understanding the changing earth, environment, and human condition and disseminates and applies this knowledge for the benefit of the present and future. Students learn about changing societal conditions and worldviews through experiential opportunities for research and outreach. The divisional learning outcomes include: - Promoting student ecological and environmental literacy and sound environmental practices; - Providing service and advice to diverse constituents, including citizens and decision-makers. In addition, ECO-Canada has accredited the program ensuring that each student targeted learning experience follows the National Occupational Standards for Environmental Employment Transferable Competencies. Faculty of Engineering Sustainability Learning Objectives: The Faculty of Engineering has key student learning outcomes required to complete all degree programs. Learning outcomes such as the impacts of engineering on society and the environment. This ensures students have an ability to consider and analyze social and environmental aspects of engineering activities. Such ability includes an understanding of the interactions that engineering has with the economic, social, health, safety, and cultural aspects of sustainable design and development and environmental stewardship. Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences Sustainability Learning Outcomes: The Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences’ learning outcomes include social and environmental responsibilities and values that are listed in the Faculty’s web page. Students gain experiential learning in social and ecological sustainability in rural and Indigenous communities. Students learn theoretical frameworks and theories in urban ecology and environmental management as they apply to municipal institutional frameworks and the role of environmental planning in urban and regional governments. Students also learn the technical aspects of urban development and its socio-economic implications and underlying political forces. Graduates of this program have studied individual, family and community well-being in relation to sustainability related public policy and health determinants such as the linkages between food and other environmental conditions, health services and other social opportunities and economic status. The methodology for determining programs with sustainability learning outcomes follows the proposed method for institutions that do not, as a matter of policy, require specific learning outcomes for programs. "Institutions that do not specify learning outcomes as a matter of policy or standard practice may report graduates from sustainability-¬focused programs (i.e. majors, minors, concentrations and the equivalent as reported for the Undergraduate Program and Graduate Program credits) and other programs that require the successful completion of one or more sustainability courses (as reported for the Academic Courses credit) in lieu of the above criteria." The methodology used was as follows: 1. Specific courses required to graduate from a program were listed for each degree. 2. If one of the required courses is included in the sustainability course catalogue then the program was deemed to have sustainability learning outcomes
