By enabling and encouraging safe and practical options such as walking, cycling, public transit, and carpooling, the University supports individual choices relating to increased wellness and reduced environmental impact.

The University supports community members who choose to travel sustainably. The UofM Smart phone App has a layer for walking map (tunnels) and the Winnipeg Transit app built in to support people who travel sustainably. The Office of sustainability also provided city and community maps to campus members free of cost.
