A brief description of when and why the GHG emissions baseline was adopted:
This is the same baseline year as our energy baseline specified in the 2018 Strategic Sustainability Plan. It was chosen as the two reductions are linked.
Part 1. Reduction in GHG emissions per person
Weighted campus users
Performance year | Baseline year
Number of students resident on-site | 3,300 | 3,120 |
Number of employees resident on-site | 106 | 62 |
Number of other individuals resident on-site | 2 | 0 |
Total full-time equivalent student enrollment | 14,040 | 14,741 |
Full-time equivalent of employees | 2,029 | 1,979 |
Full-time equivalent of students enrolled exclusively in distance education | 2,285 | 1,403 |
Weighted Campus Users | 11,191.50 | 12,283.25 |
Metrics used in scoring for Part 1
Performance year | Baseline year
Adjusted net Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions per weighted campus user | 2.63 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent | 2.29 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent |
Percentage reduction in adjusted net Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions per weighted campus user from baseline:

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
Not all measurements were available for the baseline year (i.e. refrigerant use). When this was the case, we calculated the baseline year using the same numbers as the performance year. Not all fertilizer numbers were available for either baseline or performance year, these numbers were estimated based on typical athletic field care.
