A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :
The course inventory was completed by an Office of Sustainability graduate student who read through each description of courses listed in the University course catologues. The student is well versed in sustainability and designated each applicable course as either a "sustainability course" or a "course that includes sustainability". Each class was also evaluated for what Sustainable Development Goal it addresses. Once the initial inventory was complete, each section was sent to the respective college's dean and faculty members to review. At this level, courses were approved to be included in the inventory by the dean or faculty member. This approval indicates that the teaching of the course does accurately represent and teach sustainability or an SDG-related topic. The total number of courses offered was provided by the Office of Institutional Research.
