Total energy consumption (all sources, excluding transportation fuels), performance year :
2,825,709 MMBtu

Option 1

Total clean and renewable electricity generated on site during the performance year and for which the institution retains or has retired the associated environmental attributes:
251.50 MMBtu

None
A brief description of on-site renewable electricity generating devices :
One 26-kw solar PV array at the Marksbury Building and two phases of a 56 -kw solar array at Anderson Mechanical Engineering are included. Both facilities have panels that feed electricity directly back into the building for consumption.

Option 2

Non-electric renewable energy generated on-site, performance year:
23 MMBtu

None
A brief description of on-site renewable non-electric energy devices:
The Poundstone Regulatory Services facility has one set of eight solar-thermal collectors that serve to add heat to the domestic hot water for the facility.

Option 3

Total clean and renewable electricity generated by off-site projects that the institution catalyzed and for which the institution retains or has retired the associated environmental attributes, performance year:
0 MMBtu

None
A brief description of off-site, institution-catalyzed, renewable electricity generating devices:
none

Option 4

Total third-party certified RECs, GOs and/or similar renewable energy products (including renewable electricity purchased through a utility-provided certified green power option) purchased during the performance year:
0 MMBtu

A brief description of the RECs, GOs and/or similar renewable energy products, including contract timeframes:
none

Percentage of total electricity use (0-100)
Biomass ---
Coal 77.21
Geothermal ---
Hydro 0.71
Natural gas 22.04
Nuclear ---
Solar photovoltaic 0.05
Wind ---
Other (please specify and explain below) ---

A brief description of other sources of electricity not specified above:

Energy used for heating buildings, by source::
Percentage of total energy used to heat buildings (0-100)
Biomass ---
Coal 9
Electricity ---
Fuel oil ---
Geothermal ---
Natural gas 91
Other (please specify and explain below) ---

A brief description of other sources of building heating not specified above:
Two of our residence halls (172K GSF) are heated and cooled with a ground source geothermal system. The system has 108 boreholes, 500 feet deep with 317.25 Tons of Connected Load (~3,807,000 BTU). However, this is well less than 1% of the overall campus and was not calculated.

Percentage of total energy consumption from clean and renewable sources:
0.01
