We use EnergyCAP to track and monitor utility information for most campus buildings. Residence Halls and Greek Houses, which are operated via lease agreements and pay their own utilities, are excluded. Also excluded from the program are on-campus facilities leased by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and the KY Medical Science Foundation. In total, 3.9 million gsf of campus building space is NOT covered by our management and benchmarking programs.

Using EnergyCAP, a team of energy specialists monitor data and look for irregularities down to the individual meter level. If irregularities are detected, energy specialist and other utilities personnel work with relevant campus stakeholders to identify and address any problems.
