The University of Kentucky has a number of programs that are directed towards building a diverse faculty in higher education. The Graduate School participates in SREB Doctoral Scholars program providing opportunities to assist highly quailifed minorities and women to acquire doctoral degrees in fields where they are underrepresented. Other university programs include, UK Commission on Excellence, Diversity and Inclusion, Task Force on Quality of Work Life; Women's Initiative for Career and Leadership Development, Task Force on Campus Climate; LGBT Task Force, and Latino Task Force
