A brief description of the snow and ice removal program, policy, or practice:
We mechanically remove as much snow and ice as possible with plows and shovels prior to the application of salts. Salt is applied used mechanical spreaders with guides that prevent broadcasting and that ensure only the necessary amount of salt is spread per unit area. In our parking structures we use a a specialized deicer to minimize impact on the storm sewer and corrosion of the structure.
