A brief description of the program:
The KU Environmental Stewardship Program works with the Department of Student Housing and area non-profit organizations to collect and redistribute things that would otherwise end up in the waste stream. In the spring of 2011, the program collected and redistributed 6,100 lbs. of clothing, shoes, towels, and bedding, 2,458 lbs. of food, and 540 dorm room furnishing items.
