Does the institution have a trayless dining program in which trays are removed from or not available in dining halls?:
Yes

A brief description of the trayless dining program:

After two rather promising trials, trayless dining was implemented in all of our residential dining centers in September of 2008. The trials were done with the assistance of student volunteers. The results of trayless dining showed a significant decrease in post consumer waste- 32% reduction in food waste; 52% in beverages; 13% in paper (mainly napkins/straws). We maintain trayless service throughout the year and it has now become the norm.
