A brief description of the employee educators program (1st program):

A group of over 180 dedicated campus individuals who care about student success, the student experience, and the appearance and operations of the General Education Funded buildings and grounds. They support Facilities Management’s mission of providing a physical environment that supports University excellence!


A brief description of the employee educators program’s target audience (1st program):

All Building Coordinators are located in General Education Funded buildings across main and Oakdale campus’s. Therefore, every employee in the University of Iowa is included in the target audience as every building is mandated to have a Building Coordinator, which is how 100% of our employees are served by this program.

We contacted the Building Coordinators Network and asked them to report how many hours they spent in this role. Given that depending on the person this could be a full-time job or just part of a bigger set of responsibilities, we averaged the hours per year of those who answered and multiplied it by the entire Building Coordinator population (180 educators).
