The UI Office of Sustainability tables at each new student orientation day held through the summer. Helpful information about recycling, environmental student groups, volunteer opportunities and much more is offered during these events. UI Office of Sustainability staff meet directly with incoming students and parents, answer questions and offer advice as to how to get involved in campus sustainability activities and how to live green on campus. The Office of Sustainability provides materials for resident adviser training and international student orientation. Presentations are also made at three international student orientations. The Office of Sustainability also hosted an open house during OnIowa welcome week activities.
