A brief description of how weather data or sensors are used:

The UI limits the use of irrigation systems on the Main Campus and subscribes to a satellite weather information system that provides information that can control or override the automated irrigation systems on campus. In addition, UI Facilities Management landscape staff use the NOAA weather information and forecasts to inform decisions regarding irrigation.
