Injured employees are required by university policy to submit a First Report of Injury/Illness to Worker’s Compensation and Claims Management. Information on that process is located at https://www.treasury.uillinois.edu/risk_management/workers_compensation/reporting_procedures_responsibilities/. WC/CM utilizes OSHA requirements to identify recordable injuries and produces monthly draft OSHA 300 logs which is reviewed by the Division of Safety and Compliance, Occupational Safety and Health Department to verify accuracy by comparing to a spreadsheet provided by WC/CM that lists all campus injuries.
