The Institute for Sustainability, Energy, and Environment sends out a weekly electronic newsletter on Tuesday mornings. Items are received from various stakeholders for inclusion in this mailing. Major sections of the newsletter include 1) Seminars/Conferences/Workshops; 2) Course Offerings; 3) Funding Opportunities; 4) Other Announcements

Yes

A brief description of the signage that highlights sustainability features on campus:

Low-mow zones and pollinator pockets are clearly labeled on campus to promote and protect pollinator habits. Additionally, each of our LEED buildings has signage that highlights the green features. For example, the Business Instructional Facility has a large electronic, interactive monitor where visitors can review each of the green features of the building. Each new renovation or construction provides signage telling about the green features.

Wellness walk themed around sustainability initiatives on campus.

At University housing, all resident advisors are trained in green living practices, and they in turn encourage the students to incorporate sustainability into their lives.

Q Magazine features outstanding articles by U of I students, most of them enrolled in the Undergraduate Certificate in Environmental Writing (CEW), a joint venture of the Institute for Sustainability, Energy, and Environment (iSEE), the School for Earth, Society, and Environment (SESE), and the English Department.

The Green Observer is a student-run newspaper devoted to reporting on environmental issues. A new issue is published twice per year.
