Inner Voices Social Justice Theater
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
Inner Voices Social Justice Theater is a hybrid of courses, volunteer efforts, national calls for scripts, and student engagement that produces ongoing plays and theatrical works for a wide variety of audiences ranging from students to community members. For the last year, Inner Voices has dedicated their programming to the theme of Environmental Justice, in part thanks to a grant from our green fund. As sustainability often gets bogged down in numbers and concepts with a narrow focus, touching on themes of environmental justice have truly gone a long way to engaging with all three legs of sustainability on our campus in a new and groundbreaking way.
