Has the institution assessed diversity and equity in terms of campus climate?:
Yes

A brief description of the campus climate assessment(s) :

The final phase of the Campus Conversation on Diversity was to conduct campus-wide conversations. On March 30, March 31, and April 1, four conversations took place. The first conversation was held with graduate and professional students followed by a conversation with undergraduate students. The final conversations were with faculty and staff. Each of these conversations consisted of a panel discussing the unique ways diversity and inclusion has impacted their work or academic experience at the University of Illinois, followed by an opportunity for participants to reflect upon the information shared by the panel and offer recommendations for building a more inclusive Illinois. The conversations concluded with senior administrators meeting to discuss the findings of the first three conversations as well as the work that was conducted in the colleges and units earlier in the semester, and presentations on national issues of diversity and inclusion. Senior administrators were able to offer recommendations about building a more inclusive Illinois.
