Yes

A brief description of how the strategic plan or amendment addresses the environmental dimensions of sustainability:

Illinois Sustainable Energy and the Environment Initiative
The Goal
Secure the economic future of the state and the nation by shaping the national research agenda,
application, and stewardship of our most vital resources: energy, water, and land. We will use
our unique interdisciplinary strengths in science and technology, economics, the humanities, and
social sciences to develop, then demonstrate radical new technologies, practices, and policies
that reduce reliance on non-renewable resources and encourage prudent use of renewable
resources. This goal encompasses basic and applied research, education of students and
members of the broader community, and engagement with public and private partners to
encourage a sustainable world.
