We have stations for the City of Chicago DIVVY bike sharing program around campus and have subsidized the annual corporate membership rate by $10 per faculty/staff and manage the student discount program.

UIC students, staff and faculty can become Zipcar members at a special discounted rate, and take advantage of Zipcar vehicles parked on the campus. Zipcars are available throughout Chicago and in many other cities.

Six electric vehicle charging stations were installed (2 each in Halsted Street Parking lot, Maxwell Street Parking structure and Paulina Street Parking structure).

There is a counseling program that will help employees relocating from outside the area to choose a neighborhood, with associated materials to distribute. A more comprehensive orientation plan was scheduled and then scrapped because of coronavirus.

Public transit (CTA) semester passes (for bus and train) are made available to any student with 6 or more credit hours by default. CTA also continues to offer flexibility by allowing UIC to administer the U-PASS program as optional. All students are opted in by default.
