Sustainable Design Policy
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
It is now required by UH policy and design guidelines that all University of Houston Capital Construction Projects will be certified to a minimum of LEED BD+C Silver. During 2023 alone, three major projects have been certified: the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine (LEED BD+C Gold), the John M. O’Quinn Law Building (LEED BD+C Silver), and the Roy G. Cullen Building (LEED ID+C Gold).
