All University of Houston faculty and staff have access to Linkedin Learning for professional development resources. There are over 1500 materials covering sustainability in Linkedin Learning.

Sustainability training and professional development is offered to staff in Facilities Services through the International Facilities Management Association and its Sustainability Facilities Professional certification. UH Facilities Services also conducts its own sustainability training for staff.

UH Staff have free access 24/7 to Lynda training resources which include many sustainability focused development opportunities.

Facilities Planning and Construction, along with the Facilities Services team is increasingly devoted to sustainability in both training and practice. This, along with being one of the largest employing departments on campus, has resulted in a growing percentage of staff having sustainability goals in their performance markers. An indicator of this is the growing number of LEED certified professionals in Facilities Planning and Construction including but not limited too: University Architect, Sustainability Coordinator, Director of the Central Plant, and Project Estimator.
